GTX Licensing Support

Software Licensing Basics

GTXImage CAD® Series V28 is available as a software licensed single user standalone version or a networked floating license multiple user version. Installation of a standalone software licensed GTXImage CAD® Series V28 is permanently dedicated to a particular personal computer. The networked floating software license is distributed from a License Server System, which is permanently dedicated to a particular computer. Access to a floating GTX software license is available to any personal computer which shares a common network with the License Server System.

A FLEXENABLED software license for GTX is provided in the form of a license file, GTXNET.LIC, or GTX.LIC, which describe a GTXImage CAD® Series V28 program license level using the following convention;

The GTX Single User License File
The GTX.LIC file, for a single user GTXImage CAD Series V28.0 program, contains data in a format similar to the following;

FEATURE IPS2800 gtxflex 14.0 30-oct-2025 uncounted \ VENDOR_STRING=VSDE236791
HOSTID=001234567899 ISSUED=30-oct-2024 NOTICE=N9012AC8F \ SN=IPS2800-250099 SIGN=”1728 1636 E796 D1BD 51C6 1531 28ED \ A67B 85FB 5399 1735 374E 70AF AFAA A2DC 10AE 36EF A943 9F3C \< 847A 6EA0 F9B8 D1E3 8A5B 3AE8 2D8F 43CE AD80 7DF7 C164″

This file is the key to licensed operation of the GTXImage CAD Series V28.0 program on a single computer. The data contains encrypted information about the computer it was created to serve and will serve no purpose if applied to a different computer.

An archive of the GTX.LIC file should be maintained for the occasion of removal and reinstallation of the GTXImage CAD Series V28.0 program on the computer which the GTX.LIC file is intended to serve.

Network Software License

Introduction
FLEXnet® Licensing allows GTXImage CAD Series V28.0 licenses to be available anywhere on a network. A computer on the network must be chosen to host a License Server System (license manager) which provides licenses to client computers running the GTXImage CAD Series V28.0

FLEXnet enabled application. Other CAD applications are also utalizing FLEXnet enabled applications, with an established License Server System, the choice could be made to incorporate GTX licence management on the same machine which supports other CAD applications License Server System.

Note: A comprehensive document on all aspects of installation, usage, and troubleshooting of Flexera software license administration tools is provided: fnp_LicAdmin.pdf.
Two different License Server Manager utilities are described in this documentation. One is named LMTools and the other is named LMAdmin.

IMPORTANT: GTX supplies active, authorized, distributable licenses in the form of a file named GTXNET.LIC.

The choice of a licensing host computer must be made before applying to GTX for an authorized license file. Through encrypted information contained in the file, the GTXNET.LIC identifies the License Server host machine as the only machine capable of serving GTX license distribution.
